I found a company in California that restores original aluminum finish on Heads and Intake Manifolds. So I sent my ’34 aluminum intake manifold to www.jandpdeburring.com They use a vibratory process for cleaning, then a media that contains aluminum to refinish. The results were outstanding. It looks just like it came off the assembly line. This puts a skin on the surface of the part and it looks just like the original factory finish. It also seems to seal the part so that gas, oil and grease doesn’t penetrate the aluminum. If I remember correctly the cost was around $25 – $30.

Looks just like the day it left the Ford factory floor.
I did not send my 34 aluminum heads into be refinished because I bought a reproduction set from www.kearneyfoundry.com located at
Kearney Pattern Works & Foundry40 South Montgomery Street San Jose, CA 95110 (408) 293-7414 or toll free (877) 551-4421
These heads were not cheap but they are an excellent reproduction of the original heads.

What, no script??
I knew someone would notice, they do have the correct part number! One thing that I should point out about the reproduction heads is they can be installed with either flat or doomed pistons.
