www.classicandexotic.com – They sell the 33/34 King Seeley Hydrostatic Fuel Gauge Sight Glass Assemblies and the Red Fuel Gauge Fluid. The original liquid was acetylene tetrabromide also called 1,1,2,2-tetrabromoethane and has a specific gravity of 2.95 and was coloured with Durant Scarlet Dye. The modern replacement liquid sold by most vendors has a tendency to lose its colour and my gas gauge fluid immediately started to faded as soon as I put the top down and the fluid was exposed to sunlight. Their replacement fluid is more colour stable and the red colour does not fade from sun exposure like a lot of the replacement fluids that other vendors sell. Be careful if you work on these gauges tetrabromide is hazardous.
